eTextbook capabilities

Our textbooks are readable on and offline via our eReader, Cambridge Spiral. Cambridge Spiral supports rich media, known as enhancements, to aid teaching and learning efforts.

Enhancements include:-

  • Video, animations and GIFs that are playable directly within the text
  • Audio files that can be played directly within the text
  • Data sets and tables that can be downloaded directly from the eTextbook
  • Glossary pop-outs, where key words in each chapter are highlighted and available with a pop-up definition
  • URLs embedded in the text that link to further content for students to discover

Cambridge Spiral also supports instructors and learners with a range of study tools including highlighting, annotations, bookmarking, and citation tools. Instructors can share sets of annotations with their students using the Group Annotations feature, and most of our titles have a natural voiced read aloud feature.

Visit our Textbooks page for more detail on features and functions of the eReader.
