Abstract
Sleep value, the relative importance individuals place on sleep, and sleep resilience, the ability to function despite sleep disturbances, are key but often overlooked aspects of sleep health. The Sleep Valuation Item Bank 2.0, Values Inventory, Monetary Sleep Value Scale and the Sleep Resilience Questionnaire were created to measure these constructs. Data from 455 U.S. adults were collected, capturing demographics, psychological factors (anxiety, depression), and sleep-related characteristics. This dataset includes questionnaires on sleep value and resilience, enabling researchers to explore important questions of sleep psychology, including, but not limited to: How are sleep and resilience related, and how can sleep resilience be harnessed improve psychological, biological, and social outcomes? How are psychological factors involved in the evaluation and treatment of sleep and circadian rhythm disorders? What role do sleep and circadian rhythms play in psychological functioning including motivation, emotion, cognition, and performance? How do psychosocial and cultural factors influence sleep and circadian health disparities?
