Welcome to the first issue of Internatiotnal Journal of Microwave and Wireless Technologies, a new Journal developed to meet the needs of engineers and researchers in the RF and microwave engineering field. Cambridge University Press and the European Microwave Association, two well-known and respected names in microwave, RF, and wireless publishing, have joined together to launch the Journal, which replaces the previous Proceedings of the European Microwave Association.
The rapid pace of technological change in the RF and microwave engineering field means that there is a constant need for new information among professionals, researchers, and students. To help meet this need, the Journal will publish themed issues (such as this one on piezoelectric materials) as well as regular papers on application-oriented and interdisciplinary topics of interest to the microwave industry. In addition to, scientific and application-oriented papers, review papers from industry and academia on major ongoing projects and high-level tutorial papers will also be published. If you have a high-quality paper that you would like to submit to the Journal, please visit journals.cambridge.org/mrf for details of how to do this.
The Journal benefits from the latest advances in electronic publishing and is hosted on Cambridge Journals Online, an industry-leading platform. The site is regularly updated with innovative new features and offers authors high visibility for their work. Authors can choose to make their article even more widely available through Cambridge Open Option, our Open Access initiative. We encourage you to visit the homepage to find out more about the Journal, read articles online before they appear in a print issue, and sign up to receive free alerts to let you know when the latest papers have been published.
