This issue of Dance Research Journal marks the official debut of the new Dance Studies Association (DSA) as the sponsoring organization. DSA is committed to “advancing the field of dance through research, performance, and publishing” and is proud to continue to work with Cambridge University Press toward maintaining the quality and integrity of DRJ as one of the premier journals in the field.
On July 12, 2017, after four joint conferences in a row and two years of intensive organizational collaboration at the level of board meetings, the Congress on Research in Dance (founded in 1969) and the Society for Dance History Scholars (founded in 1978) successfully merged into Dance Studies Association. During this transitional phase, member services will be maintained through the existing CORD and SDHS Web sites until construction of the new DSA Web site is complete.
