David Barnard, Ph.D., J.D., holds the Miles J. Edwards Chair in Professionalism and Comfort Care at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon, where he is also Assistant Vice Provost for Interprofessional Education.

Thiago Cunha, Ph.D., is Adjunct Professor of Bioethics at the School of Health and Biosciences at Pontifical Catholic University in Paraná, Brazil, and Research Associate of the UNESCO Chair in the Postgraduate Bioethics Program at the University of Brasília, Brazil.

Adalberto de Hoyos, Ph.D., is a Research Professor in the Department of Methodology of Science at the Center for Economical, Administrative, and Social Research (CIECAS) of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN-México). His main research interests are in clinical and research ethics, as well as epistemology in the field of biotechnological patents.

Joseph J. Fins, M.D., is the E. William Davis, Jr., M.D. Professor of Medical Ethics, Chief of the Division of Medical Ethics, and Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he is also Co-Director of CASBI, Consortium for the Advanced Study of Brain Injury at Weill Cornell and Rockefeller University, New York, New York.

Thomas Foreman, D.H.C.E., M.A., M.P.I.A., is the Director of Clinical and Organizational Ethics at the Ottawa Hospital and Assistant Professor in the Division of Palliative Medicine at the Ottawa School of Medicine, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Volnei Garrafa, Ph.D., is Professor in the Department of Public Health and Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Brasilia, Brazil, where he is also coordinator of the UNESCO Chair and of the postgraduate program.

John Harris, F.Med.Sci., D.Phil., is the Lord David Alliance Professor of Bioethics and Director of the Institute for Science, Ethics and Innovation, School of Life Sciences, at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

Matti Häyry, Ph.D., is Professor of Philosophy at Aalto University School of Business in Helsinki, Finland. He is currently studying the nature of bioethics, the ethical issues of synthetic biology, and justice and its alternatives in a globalizing world.

Stefán Hjörleifsson, Ph.D., is Associate Professor in the Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Bergen, Norway.

Søren Holm, M.D., Ph.D., holds a chair in bioethics at the Centre for Social Ethics and Policy, part of the School of Law at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom and the University of Oslo in Norway.

Bonnie Kaplan, Ph.D., F.A.C.M.I., is a lecturer at the Yale Center for Medical Informatics, Yale Interdisciplinary Bioethics Center, and Yale Information Society Project at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut.

Cory A. Labrecque, Ph.D., is the Raymond F. Schinazi Junior Scholar in Bioethics and Religious Thought at the Center for Ethics and Co-Director of Catholic Studies at Emory University. He is interested in what and how religions (with an emphasis on the Roman Catholic tradition) think about ethical issues in medicine, biotechnology, and the environment.

David R. Lawrence, L.L.M., is a Ph.D. researcher at the Institute for Science Ethics and Innovation (iSEL), School of Life Sciences, at the University of Manchester. His research interests include enhancement technologies and the posthuman as well as cyborg ethics and (meta)synthetic humanity.

Ruchika Mishra, Ph.D., is a Bioethicist with the Program in Medicine and Human Values at CPMC, Sutter Health, San Francisco, California. She is also the CQ section editor for Ethics Committees and Consultants at Work.

Ole Martin Moen, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Oslo, Norway.

Ruaim Muaygil, M.D., M.B.E., is a Ph.D. candidate at the Albert Gnaegi Center for Health Care Ethics at Saint Louis University, Saint Louis, Missouri. In addition to a master’s in bioethics, she completed a clinical ethics fellowship with the Program in Medicine and Human Values, at CPMC, Sutter Health, San Francisco, California. She also holds a faculty position with King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Sebastian Muders, M.A., is a research assistant at the Centre for Ethics at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.

Kim J. Overby, M.D., M.B.E., is Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, Clinical Pediatrics, and Healthcare Policy and Research in the Division of Medical Ethics at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, New York.

César Palacios-González is a Ph.D. researcher at the Institute for Science Ethics and Innovation at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. His research interests include medical ethics and animal ethics.

John J. Paris, S.J., Ph.D., is Walsh Professor of Bioethics at Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Father Paris has served as consultant to the president’s Commission for the Study of Ethics in Medicine, the United States Senate Committee on Aging, and the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment.

Toby Schonfeld, Ph.D., is Professor of Medicine at the School of Medicine, Director of the Master of Arts in Bioethics Program in the Center for Ethics, and Director of the Program for Scholarly Integrity at the Laney Graduate School, all at Emory University. Schonfeld’s current projects include a comparison of pedagogical strategies for teaching ethics to medical students in the gyn/ob clerkship, assessment of ethics more generally, and work on research ethics.

Doris Schroeder, Ph.D., is Director of the Centre for Professional Ethics at the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom, and Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics (CAPPE) at Charles Sturt University, Canberra, Australia.

Shilpa Shashidhara, Ph.D., is a bioethicist with the Program in Medicine and Human Values at California Pacific Medical Center, Sutter Health, San Francisco, California.

Hugh A. Stoddard, M.Ed., Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Medicine at the School of Medicine and Assistant Dean for Medical Education at Emory University. Stoddard’s current projects include work involving pipeline programs, educational technology, innovative pedagogy, assessment theory, and curriculum organization.

Tuija Takala, Ph.D., is Research Director at Aalto University School of Business in Helsinki, Finland, and Adjunct Professor of Practical Philosophy at the University of Helsinki. Her main research interest lies in the philosophical analysis of bioethical concepts and theories.

Karen Wright, Ph.D., is a registered nurse as well as Principal Lecturer and leader of the Division of Mental Health at the University of Central Lancashire. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings from cardiothoracic nursing to high secure forensic mental healthcare and still works within a service for people with eating disorders.
