The Anniversary General Meeting 7th May 2009, Professor A. J. Stockwell (President) in the Chair. The President welcomed Professor Sir Christopher Bayly and presented him with the Royal Asiatic Society, Medal 2009. Sir Christopher then lectured on ‘Indian Thought in the Liberal Age c. 1870–1920’.
