Journal of Fluid Mechanics (JFM) published its 1000th volume in November 2024.
To mark this significant occasion, past and present members of the Editorial Board were invited to contribute special Editorials and Focus on Fluids articles: one FoF article from each ‘century’ of volumes. Together this collection remembers history; highlights innovations in publishing; and demonstrates the lasting value and impact of research published in JFM.
