We present the main aspects of diffusion calculations in the simplest realistic diffusion model for main-sequence CP stars. The results obtained with this kind of computations are generally used in modelling AmFm and HgMn stars. Important improvements in this field, essentially due to the new atomic data banks, may be expected in the near future.
