Summary
It has been argued that globally, methamphetamine use represents the greatest challenge from all synthetic drugs. Whereas the highest prevalence of its use continues to be the US, where some commentators are suggesting it is developing into an epidemic, new markets are emerging in many parts of the world, with Southeast Asia currently emerging as the world’s fastest-growing methamphetamine market.
